 Elianne Gonzalez is the Hispanic Press Officer for the Insurance Information Institute (I.I.I.).
Ms. Gonzalez is a long-time personal finance editor, writer, and columnist, with work appearing in several major Spanish publications and Web sites. Before joining the I.I.I. in 2005, she was managing editor for the financial section and senior continental editor of the stock market section of the Web site Terra.com, aimed at the U.S. Hispanic market.
Ms. Gonzalez’s personal finance columns appear in other major Hispanic Web sites including MSN Latino, where she answers readers’ questions on personal finance, and in South Florida publications including the lifestyle magazine, CF Cosmoflorida Magazine.
Ms. Gonzalez has also worked as a personal financial analyst for Citigroup’s direct-to-customer subsidiary Primerica Financial Services, helping Hispanic families reach financial independence goals.
In 1989, Ms. Gonzalez co-founded a successful production and post-production company in her native country of Venezuela, MG Producciones, where she created several dozen award winning TV commercial spots as well as corporate and public service videos. She was also a public relations media specialist for the Tamanaco Inter Continental Hotel in Caracas.
Ms. Gonzalez is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ). She is a graduate of the University of Florida, a licensed mortgage broker, and holds Florida state licenses for several financial products including life and health insurance and variable annuities. She has lived in Florida since 1995.
